Robert Tite - Principal Clarinet

Robert Tite has been playing clarinet for 15 years. He has studied with Charles Bell, Terrance
Basom, Avrahm Galper and Peter Stoll. He has performed as Principal Clarinet of the Hamilton
Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Mississauga Youth Orchestra and Orchestra Grey-Bruce. He has played as
a guest of the New Hamilton Orchestra, and the Toronto Philharmonic. He currently is Principal Clarinet of the Georgian Bay Symphony. Rob holds a Diploma in Music from Mohawk College, Hamilton and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance, clarinet from the University of Toronto .


John Dickson

John began playing Clarinet on his 24th birthday, an inspired gift from his wife, Shirley, who plays flute and violin. He has been a member of the Owen Sound City Band since 1975 and of the Symphony since 1981.

There have been many highlight with GBS - serving on the Board, playing both Beethoven's and Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphonies, the initiation and success of the Toller Cranston Showcase, Marketing
Director for eight years, coordination of the Gallery Series, development of our Corporate Sponsorship Programme, assisting with and hearing the Moscow Philharmonic Concert, and many more rewarding
experiences.

A member of the Family Y, John also enjoys running, cross-country skiing, bird-watching, and sharing his freshly baked bread. Special highlights in 2003 include the Boston Marathon, Point Pelee and time with wee grandson Graeme.
