Seeking Board Members
Interested in helping to shape the future of the Georgian Bay Symphony? Looking for an exciting community leadership role?
The Georgian Bay Symphony is now recruiting passionate and committed individuals to serve on its Board of Directors.
The Georgian Bay Symphony was founded in 1972 by a group of dedicated local musicians. It now includes over 50 community musicians from across the region performing five concerts a season. The Symphony is considered one of the premium arts and cultural organizations in the area. The GBS is governed by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors
To ensure the Board includes the necessary breadth of expertise and experience to oversee the organization, individuals with interest and skills in any of the following areas are sought:
Event planning
Governance
Volunteer co-ordination
Fiscal Administration
Marketing
Fundraising/Sponsorships
Board meetings are held monthly and members are encouraged to participate in committee work and act as ambassadors for the organization. New Board members can look forward to volunteer development activities and interesting discussions with Board colleagues about how best to continue to build our community orchestra.
