The GBS Has a Plan

In February 2024, supported by funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Georgian Bay

Symphony Board of Directors met to create a strategic plan for the orchestra focused on growth,

sustainability, relevance, innovation, partnership, and diversity. Three strategic directions were

confirmed: Nurturing Vitality, Cultivating Community, and Strengthening Leadership. The

symphony committed to community-based programming, collaboration with other artistic

organizations in Grey-Bruce, and well thought out programs that offer consistency and growth

for all participants. With the leadership provided by our Artistic Director, Jeffrey Pollock, the

symphony is growing its audience and its community involvement.
